    10. Banquet location: Dennis B. and Tiffany have looked into different locations for this year’s banquet. Places that have been checked out so far are: Knights of Columbus hall ($500); Indian Center ($1600); City Arts building ($600), and ILRC. ILRC has some concerns about having the banquet there again. Tiffany will check with them again.
    11. Printing: Tiffany is researching ad campaign strategy. It was moved by James and second by Eric to allow a $500 budget for creating new posters to promote WSI. Tiffany will be contacting Bruce Anderson at Jet Digital Printing.
    12. Jenny to look into getting older boy scouts to help with the tournament. We need volunteers to keep coolers filled and taken to the courts and wheelchairs taken out in the morning. They would need to be there early to help setup.
  2. Board Social: The event will be held on Friday, May 19th at Felipe’s at 6 p.m. Denis Cleary will look into getting a room reserved for the group. After dinner, those who wish to participate can go to the Looney Bin at 8 p.m. It was moved by Denis Cleary and seconded by Jenny to reimburse $10/member and $10 for one guest. RSVP to Denis Cleary by May 12.

  4. Venture Club:  Short article added to WSI website to draw attention to the venture club. Jenny trying to recruit youth for the group. Researching putting an article in the Boy Scout Trail Guide to promote the club.

New Business:

  1. Bylaw amendment addressing criteria for board members (i.e. attendance requirements, etc). First attempt will be to have a board member address the issue with the party not participating in the meetings. If that is unsuccessful, we will move forward with amending the bylaws. Barney will discuss attendance requirements with Dennis B.
  2. April Tennis Clinic: Initial discussions were to have the clinic on April 15, but since that is Easter weekend, it was proposed that it be April 22nd from 1 -3 p.m. Plan to use indoor courts. They will cost approximately $75. Nick, Dennis B., and Grady to teach the clinic. Will need $75 for food and drinks. Moved by Jenny & 2nd by James for WSI to sponsor $75 for the courts and $75 for food/drink. Dennis B. to put together the brochure.
  3. Tennis Lessons to start a week after the clinic. Grady looking at Men’s WSU tennis coach and Moconli for money to subsidize lessons.
  4. Grady asked about WSI sponsoring some of our active members in the sports they do individually (i.e. Nick and Jordan). It has been suggested several times to WSI members that sponsorship is available. There is a formal process for requested money for sporting events. It must be submitted to the board in writing. Grady will remind Nick and Jordan of this opportunity.

Next meeting April 18, 5:45PM at Via Christi Rehab (OLOL).
